What?

Global Talent is a recruitment programme for national and international talent with a STEM profile that connects young professionals with leading companies in Bizkaia. The aim is to boost the competitiveness of local companies through the resolution of real challenges, contributing to the ‘Commitment to Talent’ strategy promoted by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia (DFB).

December + January

A call to action to young people from all over the world who want to work on technological projects in companies in the territory of Bizkaia. STEM profiles.

Online training
and challenges

February + March

For two months, the 40 young people selected will have access to training with coaching. During the training, they will work on real challenges that companies in Bizkaia will launch, creating a process for generating solutions.

Bootcamp
in Bilbao

April

Of the 40 participants, 20 will be selected to travel to Bilbao for a week. During the week, as well as getting to know the innovation and technology ecosystem of Bizkaia, they will meet the companies in person and present the solutions they have worked on.

Intra-entrepreneurship in companies in Bizkaia

The companies will select the participants who will carry out their project in the company for 3 months.

Who participates?

Companies in the territory of Bizkaia with technology-based challenges. Companies from all over Bizkaia that are working on technology-based challenges will take part in this edition. The companies can be from different sectors and of different sizes, seeking diversity of participation and challenges for a greater impact on the environment and the economy in Bizkaia.

We are looking for young people between the ages of 18 and 35, both national and international, with an interest in tackling technological challenges. Participants must have a degree in STEM areas to join. The aim is to foster intrapreneurship, encouraging young people to develop innovative solutions to the different challenges proposed by companies.

B Global Talent Team

FAQ

Yes, B Global Talent is a recruiting program in collaboration with the Biscay Council and all expenses are covered by this public organization.

-Hackathon phase: participants will have 2 days to work in teams and come up with the best solutions to the company challenges. Once the teams present all the solutions, 30 people will be selected to go on to the next phase (Bootcamp).

-Bootcamp phase: During the bootcamp, participants will receive training and entrepreneurship tools from the BGT team and company mentors to validate the solutions. At the end of the bootcamp each company will select 2 finalists to go on to the last phase (Work in Company).

-Work in company phase: In this phase, each participant will receive a 1200€/month scholarship to work for two months with the internal team of the company in the development of the solution. Once this period is over, the company will decide whether to hire the participants.

Yes, travel expenses are covered. We will cover a flight to arrive in Bilbao on the 15th of July to attend the Hackathon and return to the country of origin on the 25th of july when the Bootcamp phase is over. 

Participants who are not selected for the bootcamp will return to their home countries on November 19th.

The accommodation for the Hackathon and Bootcamp will be covered. Participants can choose to stay in the allocated hotel or arrange their own accommodation if preferred. 

*During the two month internship you will receive a grant with which you can pay for your accommodation and other living expenses. 

This program is for those who have graduated with a University Degree or professional training college degree or are in the final months of their degree. A degree issued in any country is valid for this program.

The B Global Talent organizers are not responsible for the visa requirements of any participants. If any participants need a visa in order to come to Spain for the program they must inform themselves of their visa obligations and come to the program with the correct visa. EU participants will not need a visa.
